Spring in the City!

It finally feels like spring has arrived....and just in time for outdoor photo sessions. I met this brother and sister at the leg yesterday. Considering how the weather has been lately we had the perfect day. We explored a bit outside and then headed in to warm up a bit. I really wanted a few pictures on all the great bikes parked in front of the leg...I think there was some time of rally or protest going on. After taking a look at the owners I decided we would pass. After all, we had or own "toys" to use. We smuggled a "gun" into the leg and security never even noticed. They also didn't notice when we dropped a baseball bat onto the marble floor! The sound echoed throughout the entire building. Needless to say, we had a fun morning below are just a few photos from the session!

I Was Wrong...

Once again, we headed out on our holidays and I had expectations. I really need to learn not to do this to myself. This time, I was tired of the scenery or backdrops Winipeg had to offer. I was envisioning something bright, colorful and fun. I was also thinking this would be the perfect chance to take Mr. T's 3 year photos. I thought I was perfectly prepared, with my camera batteries charged and ready to go, my memory ready for at least a good 2000 photos and my purse filled with the best bribes ever. Turns out that apparently Mr.T doesn't really like Rainbow Bit Rice Krispie Cake. And it also turned out that Mr. T really does not like having his pictures taken. Which is actually a bit of a problem for me. It seemed that in almost every picture he either had his tongue hanging out or made a face that would lead you to believe his precious pet fish just died.

But...as I was going through all of the photos, thinking that nothing would be worth keeping, I came across these gems. I realized that I was wrong. Although the photos were not exactly what I had envisioned in my head, and the lighting wasn't exactly perfect, the pictures are totally my little monkey and I'm so glad they are!

Technical Difficulties

I have been having some technical difficulties with my blog lately which is why things have been rather quiet here. I'm not actually sure if this post will work. If you have a moment to leave a comment I'd greatly appreciate it so I know whether things are working or not.

The following photos are from out spring holiday. We had a great time away! We enjoyed swimming and waterslides, shopping, rides and roller coasters, eating out and more shopping!

I'd tried to used the panning technique for this photo. I've never really had a lot of success with it but it actually worked out alright this time.

I was a little unsure about the whole bumper car experience. Especially while Mr. T had this expression pasted across his face before the ride even started. Later, when I asked him why he looked so sad, he explained that he was sad because he car wouldn't go.

Once he got going and bumped into his first victum, a huge smile broke out across his face and I knew it was all going to be okay!

Legoland...

...and this is what the guys do when they go shopping together. Got to hand it to my husband he knows how to pick the right stores to shop in.
