...from our home to yours!

Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year! Our Christmas celebrations have been great with the exception of the stomach flu which hit me on Christmas Eve. Thankfully it was not too severe and I was able to still be with my family Christmas morning as they ripped the paper off the presents! My favorite part of Christmas this year has been watching our two little monkeys play and play and play. I'll be the first to admit that they have way too many toys now but they are making sure they enjoy everyone...to the fullest!
Our Christmas cards have all been delivered so I can finally post our Christmas greeting as well as some photos from our Christmas card shoot. I really wanted a beach theme for our card this year so we took these photos back in August....when the weather was a whole lot warmer! The card was a 5x5 folded, press-printed card.

Custom Designs

One of the best parts of my job is using the photographs I take and creating custom designed cards and storyboards. Below are just a few that I have put together over the past few months.

It's About Time...

Yes, it is about time I finally posted something! It's not that I have not been at the computer, but most of my time lately has been spent designing and ordering christmas cards. I am getting close to caught up so I'll try to post some recent card designs soon.
In the meantime I will leave you with some photos from "E's" 5th birthday. The dust has finally settled after the party and I had a chance to sort through most of the pictures. We decided to go with a bug theme, which I think was one of the easiest birthday themes I've done. We had bug cupcakes and a dirt cake, went on a bug hunt, caught bugs with bug catching tweezers, played "Pin the Bug on the Leaf" had some bug stories and enjoyed the most buggy food I could think of.

This first photo is the one I used for the birthday invitation.

These sandwiches turned out to be quite the hit! I had my doubts about them when I was putting them together but the kids loved them. They were made with rainbow bread, nutella and banana slices.

...and a glimpse of the aftermath!

Drive-By Shooting

I know it sounds strange, but this really was a drive-by shooting. I really wanted to take some photos of my little monkey (who turned 5 this week). I wasn't sure how or when I would fit it in though. Last Sunday, which was a gorgeous day, was full with a family session in the afternoon and supper at my in-laws right after that. I had a feeling we wouldn't get another beautiful day like that so I convinced my husband to let me do a quick session with "E" on the way to his parents. I knew we would drive right by this spot so....my husband stopped the vehicle, we hopped out, snapped some photos and we on our way again in exactly 6 minutes (yes, I was timed)! Thankfully, "E" was in a pretty cooperative mood and we got exactly what I was hoping for. I love these pictures of him because....they are just so him.

A Taste of Fall

I'm sitting at my computer and as I glance out the window I see snow, icy roads and bare trees. I guess fall is over. These photos are from a session I did several weeks ago. At that time, the weather was perfect, the leaves were beautiful and there was NO SNOW! Maybe these pictures will brighten your day and help you remember our gorgeous fall....it wasn't all that long ago!
