Happy Birthday, "E"!

Oh my goodness!!I think I enjoyed this session far too much!  Little "E" was a ham from beginning to end!  He certainly was busy with a clear idea of all the things he needed to accomplish during his session but, he was the happiest, almost one year old, I've ever met!  His parents were quite amazing as well.  Nothing seemed to stress them!  Rather, they just laughed at their sweet little guy and soaked in all the goodness of having a a busy body on the move!  The only time "E" slowed down was when an extra large cupcake was placed in front of him.  We all had hopes he would dive right into it but he took his time with the delicious treat.  Eventually his Mom helped him out and got him going.  By the end, I think we were all covered in icing!

So Blessed

Where does the time go?  As a parent I wonder that often.  Photographs have always been something I have enjoyed and treasured but I find they have become even more significant as a parent.  I do find that I need to work at making taking our own family photos a priority.  Somehow photographing other families is much more enjoyable and honestly less stressful!  Why are your own kids the hardest to photograph?!?  Our family session this fall came together in an hour or so.  I didn't really have a clear plan but knew I wanted some nice photos of us together.  We headed to one of my favorite spots and I hoped the inspiration would flow.  I have to admit that we had a slow start but eventually things picked up.  Although every pose isn't perfect and I see things I would like to change,  these images are such a great reminder for me of just how blessed I truly am.  My boys are my sunshine every day!

Sometimes an unexpected spot makes a great backdrop.

I had to let the guys jump for at least a few photos!  Somehow jumping makes them get more into things and a bit more cooperative!

This picture is sooooo "E"!  He is pretty much always happy and has a big smile!

"T" is a bit more reserved but so thoughtful and observant!  He pays close attention to detail.....something I greatly appreciate!
