The "L" Family

I have to admit that I was a little concerned about this session.  I knew the plan was to do the pictures outside but the weather the week before was crazy cold.  After discussing a variety of ideas we decided to tough things out and stick with the plan to be outside.  I'm so glad we did!  As it turned out, we had a beautiful morning with softly falling snow, little wind and temperatures which were slightly more bearable.  This was a special time for the family to be together and they certainly made the most of it!  I loved our 4x4 ride out to the hay bales.  Enjoy your holidays together!

The Big Bro!

Well, charming Mr. "C" will soon be a big brother!  Chances are his new little brother or sister could even be the New Year's baby!  I guess we'll have to just wait and see.  As they say, "the best gifts come in small packages"!  This new little baby will definitely be a special gift for this family in the new year!  All the best!

Location, Location, Location!



It's really hard to believe that it was only this past Saturday that I photographed the "W" family.  We started inside but then headed up to the roof and found the perfect cityline backdrop.  The location up on the roof was the perfect spot to be on Saturday.  The weather was warm, the view amazing and there was a slight haze in the sky.  It did take a bit of an effort to get to the spot but I believe our extra white hairs were worth it!



The view was stunning!  So nice to shoot with such a different perspective of the Exchange District.

It did take some special problem solving to figure out how "H", the family dog, was going to make it up onto the roof.  After a few minutes he appeared completely calm and cozy!

"H" truly was the most content, calm and well trained dog I have ever met.  If we ever get a dog, I would want it to be just like her!
