"T & A"

I first met "A" years ago when she came to our home every week for piano lessons.  Since then, she has had many adventures....her latest being getting married!  "T" is the lucky man and they make a perfect match.  They both love the outdoors and doing anything active.  We wanted their session to reflect them and their personalities.  Unfortunately, biking and ice climbing were out of the question but Fort Whyte was the perfect spot for spending a morning outside!

Mario Cake!

I vowed that I would never make another birthday cake.  "T" make me change my mind.  He really, really wanted a cake with his plastic Mario figurines on top.  I thought I would just order a cake and put them on top but nothing seemed to come together.  So I landed up baking the cake and decorating it.  In the final end, it wasn't so bad and I was thrilled with how it turned out.  I bought "T" a few new figurines so he had a few surprises on his cake.

 He blew out one candle at a time.  His cousins teased him about all the girlfriends he had.  Funny how he had no clue what they were talking about.

The Party

"T"'s interests have not changed much over the past year.  He still eats and breathes anything Mario!  So we went with a Super Mario theme again this year.  "T" helped with all the details and did a great job coming up with ideas.

 A huge thanks to "D" down the street who let me borrow her star-shaped cookie cutter for our star power cheese.

 We made a whole batch of chocolate mustaches and used a variety of different hats for a photo booth.

Happy Birthday, "T"!

 Today my baby is six years old. It saddens me that he is growing up so fast. He is my cuddler, scrambled egg eater, giggler, collector, super mario gamer, blanket lover, basketball player, loveable boy!
