Movin' on from Mario!

"T" officially declared shortly before Christmas, that he was moving on from Mario.  Angry Birds is now his latest obssession.  So this year for his seventh birthday we did not do a Mario themed party but rather an Angry Birds party.  I was a little concerned about how we would do an Angry Birds cake.  After some inspiration from other Moms this is what we came up with.....donut holes dipped in candy wafers and decorated with candy parts to look like an angry bird.  I spent way too much time making these but I think "T" was pleased so that made it all worth while.

I know....It's Been Way Too Long!

I have some regular blog followers who have been giving me a hard time about my last of posts as of late.  And yes, I'll be the first to admit that this blog has been rather quiet lately.  I have however, enjoyed lots of time with family and some quiet time to myself.  Even though things over here on the blog have been quiet I have still been busy designing cards, albums, wedding invitations and collages.  I'll try to share some sample shortly as I'm really excited about some of the new products I've been working with.  Here is a quick session I did with my boys so we could have a Christmas card this year.  I did everyone else's photos and then realized I should probably do something for our family too.  We kept things really simple and quick and squeezed this session in between the boys' basketball games.

All is Calm, All is Bright!

 I was so struck with how calm and relaxed this family of five was.  With a brand new baby, whose unique arrival would have been stressful for even the most relaxed person, this home was so peaceful....complete with a snowman in the front yard, strings of fruit loop garland, christmas crafts and handcut snowflakes in the windows.  Mom seemed to have everything in perfect order and appeared to already be all set for Christmas.  In fact, she had just been out shopping for Christmas decorations the day before and had two perfectly decorated trees all set up.  I did feel like she was a kindred spirit because she obviously shared my love for Christmas as well!  Thanks for a great morning!  I loved the chance to spend some time with a whole group of girls!!!  I'm so used to being outnumbered by boys at my house!  The calm was lovely also!!

Baby "H"

 Baby "H" is....perfect.  She was such an easy baby to photograph and I never heard a single cry.  I'm convinced she doesn't cry...at all.  Her sweet little face, her beautiful little Christmas outfit, her cute smile were all....perfect.  Her parents were so relaxed and took everything in stride.  The whole morning was a pleasure.  Your beautiful little girl is a treasure.  Congratulations!
