And Then There Were Three....Almost!

K & M are soon going to be expanding their home by two feet!  It's hard to believe that K was a flower girl at our wedding and now she is about to welcome her own little peanut along with her husband, M.  I've done a number of sessions with K & M as they have marked special times or events in their lives.  It was so special to spend an evening with them, capturing this exciting phase of life as well.  As exciting as the "expecting" part is, I have to admit that I'm even more excited to do the "meeting" part.  I can't wait for their little addition to arrive!  I know that K is also looking forward to concluding the "expecting" phase of things and yet, she was very determined that we would get some maternity photos done before this phase ends.  Can't wait to move on to the next stage when you are a family of three!

Too long!!

Sadly, if I look back at the last post on this blog it is from 2015!  I know it has been rather quiet here (I took a break and was spending more time in the classroom rather than behind my camera)  and so I'm excited to share some photos from this past week.  It was so good to see "M" again.  This time, she is anticipating the arrival of baby # 3!  We had the most peaceful summer evening at the park and enjoyed wandering around, snapping some pics and chatting about summer, the lake, kids and life in general!  I can't wait to hear your exciting news!

"Vogue" Baby

I was at a baby shower for Baby "I" several weeks ago, before she was born.  At the shower, I was asked how I knew her Mom.  I wasn't actually quite sure how to answer that question.  I've known Baby "I"'s parents for years and through so many different parts of life.  I suppose though, that after taking their engagement pictures, wedding photos, anniversary photos, maternity photos and now newborn photos I have spent a fair bit of time getting to know them while shooting them!  I couldn't wait to meet Baby "I".  She was quite perfect from the beginning to the end of her session.  She was also a little poser and even flashed me a great big smile!  He Dad joke that she was "vogue"!  That is the first time a parent has said that about their newborn daughter so it kind of stuck with me.  But in the end.....vogue is just what this little baby was!
