The "B" Family

I met the "B" Family at their family farm.  I knew as soon as I saw their home with the wrap around veranda that it would be the perfect spot to start.  The rest of the yard also made me envious....a red barn, neatly trimmed shrubs, flowers, a play structure, fire pit area and a beautiful wheat field just across the road.

I photographed Baby "T" several months ago when she was just a newborn.  She had changed a lot since then!

She seemed much more interested in the grass she was sitting on than me or my camera....just like another little one I photographed recently!

LOVE her curls!

I have to admit that I gave "L" a bit of a hard time....just some innocent teasing!  I think he could handle it!

I realized quickly that "J" was a Minecraft fanatic and....when I asked him about Mario & Luigi....well let's just say my son"T" would have been very impressed!

I couldn't resist snapping a photo of one of the grandsons doing what he loves!  I can only imagine how much these kids must love visiting their grandparents and enjoying their yard!

...the Rest of the Family!

I've know "L" for several years as I photograph her family regularly.  She has wanted to do a session with her Mom for quite some time now and was finaly able to make it happen.  We had the perfect summer afternoon and kept things simple by using her Mom's yard as our setting.  It was great to meet some of her siblings as well.  Both "L" and her sisters have been blessed with the most amazing hair!  I would really love to learn their secrets!

Celebrating 40!

This family was celebrating their parents' 40th wedding aniversary.  It seemed perfectly fitting to take the photos at the exact place it all began....the church where they were married!  The St. Boniface Cathedral is always a great backdrop for photos but it seemed all the more special this time.

40 years later and 6 grandchildren.  Somebody is a little outnumbered but it does not seem to bother her in the least!

"L" was a hoot!  So fun and so expressive.  My camera could have followed him around all evening!

This couple warned me as soon as they arrived that their little guy would not smile.  Well, I have to admit that I love a challenge and really wanted to prove them wrong.

....and they said he wouldn't smile!  I just have to rub it in a little. : )

This family taught me a new expression which I know will come in handy in the future!  "Square up"!  Exactly what I was trying to say but couldn't!

 The beautiful couple!

And one last photo of the group that started this great family!
